Traditionally, our team plays its first official game of the season in Krasnoyarsk.

Pre-game breakdown


Practically every season starts with visit to Krasnoyarsk for CSKA. This time the Red-Blues don’t have a double trip – the game at Astana is planned for next February.

13 players boarded the Rossiya Boeing. Ron Baker is not on the team’s roster for the VTB League. Kosta Koufos continues his rehab after foot injury. Alexander Khomenko and Andrey Lopatin will be working with CSKA-2.

We start the season against Enisey, the team that changed the head coach and philosophy. The first game is always special and difficult, because the team is in the process of building. We are planning to have a serious game.

Semen Antonov played for Nizhny Novgorod with Ivan Victorov and Ilya Popov from 2014 till 2016 as well as with Denis Zakharov in 2013.

Alexander Gudumak grew up with CSKA Youth Project. He also played for the main team in 2013-14 season.

Nikita Kurbanov and Ilya Popov played for Spartak St.Petersburg in 2012-13 season.
