Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We didn’t play the best basketball, but the circumstances were asking for something different. And I gave a big congratulations to my squad, to my team. The players managed to change the ship from the slow start in the first quarter and to keep good what we did in the second quarter when we kept them really low, 12 points. But low productivity from such a talented and aggressive team is saying that we also have other ways to win the game. I’m very happy for my team and for my players. It’s a marathon, but we won against a great team. I already give all the credit to Real Madrid for what they’re doing all these years, not only this year, in general the consistency they show as an organization and as a club. But I think that we also show consistency, a lot of consistency, and we need to be proud. We are building character right now and I would say this is a win of character in capital letters. The applause and recognition has to go to my players.
