CSKA made the biggest sensation of the Final Four by loosing 78-85 to TAU in the quarterfinals. The Army club was too nervous from the first minutes of the game. The club that holds the record of the number of games won in a row was the leader only for 3 minutes in this single game.

The best CSKA scorer was J.R. Holden with 20 points, Dimos Dikoudis added 13. On TAU side Arvidas Macijauskas performed in the best way and stopped with 23 points.
CSKA became the first host team that was not able to win the Euroleague Final Four in 3 years.
