CSKA qualified to the final game of the tournament in St.Petersburg. The Army club’s rival would be Dynamo St.Petersburg. The game would start at 16.00 CET. As for the game against Lokomotiv Rostov it came hard to CSKA.

CSKA – Lokomotiv – 66-64

It was the first game of CSKA after the team gathered together. And it was clear that the players just did not spend much time together. The team missed concentration for almost 30 minutes. Rostov on the other hand started good mostly defensively and built the gap of 10 points in the very first quarter. By the way Nikita Kurbanov made the debut for the rival’s team. Young forward scored 11 points, added 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

It took CSKA 30 minutes to concentrate. But when the team finally pull itself together it managed to put the defensive pressure on Rostov and evened the score with 2 minutes to go in the game – 59-59. The final minute came a decisive one. Loko did not score any points in the last offensive possession and that was the key. CSKA received the ball with 9 seconds to go and the score 65-64 on the table. Surprisingly Loko was late with fouling any of the Army club player. They did it on Panov with less than 1 second to the final buzz and of course it was too late to change something. Panov scored once but that was more than enough – 66-64.
