The Army club won the game in Siena. The game became the first official match of the head coach of the CSKA Ettore Messina against the Italian team in Italy. CSKA stayed concentrated almost all the game long. But in the 3rd quarter the gap between the teams melted away and the result was in danger. But CSKA survived. The final result is 75-66.

Montepaschi - CSKA: 66-75

Quick facts:

• Theodoras Papaloukas collected 9 rebounds tonight. It is his high this season in all the official games
• CSKA let Montepashi to win the third quarter by 10 points. It is the worst result in a single period this season.
• Trajan Langdon made 4 steals tonight. It is his high this season in all the official games

CSKA head coach Ettore Messina:

- We had a lot of excuses in case we would have lost the game tonight. They are Vanterpool absence, the winning streak that lasts rater a long time, the fact that most of the guys leave for the short vacations right after the game…And in fact Montepaschi with the current situation in the group needed to win more than we did. But the team came up concentrated with the wish to win it. We followed the line all the game long except the drop in the third quarter when the rival cut down the deficit from 12 to 3 points. But I am happy that our team thanks almost to all the players in particular survived and managed to stay concentrated up to the end of the game.
