CSKA started the trip to Malaga later than usual. The team decided to have the only practice of the day before the game at USH CSKA. That was the reason why the players and the staff gathered in the bus only at 3 p.m.

There were 11 players in the bus. They were forwards David Vanterpool, Sergey Panov, Nikita Kurbanov, Matjaz Smodis, centers David Andersen, Alexey Savrasenko, Anatoly Kashirov, guards J.R. Holden, Theodoros Papaloukas, Zakhar Pashutin, Vasily Zavoruev. The one player missing was Trajan Langdon, he joined the squad only at the airport, The reason was the cut on the browse he received at the practice. The injury of course would not effect the player’s participation in the game against Unicaja but it took some time to fix the problem.

The flight to Malaga is one of the longest for CSKA this season. Of course there could be no comparison to the one to Vladivostok but five hours and five minutes seemed to be rather a long time. This time the time difference was not a problem – just two hours. The point was the climate. It was +12 in the city at 8 p.m. when the plane just landed but it seems like tomorrow would be truly a warm day for the team that comes off -15 in Moscow last week.
