In a very close game against rivals from Bamberg CSKA managed to get another win in Euroleague Top 16 and moved one step forward towards qualification from group F from the first place. A great run of the home team in the last quarter was finally stopped and Army men continue to posses a clean record sheet.

Bamberg - CSKA: 64-75

• Matjaz Smodis scored 23 points tonight. It is his high this season in all the official games

• JR Holden made 4 steals. It is his high this season in all the official games

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:

- We are very happy that we managed to win a difficult game in such a wonderful atmosphere created here by Bamberg fans. That was a true duel of two teams that pay a lot of attention to their defense. We were lucky that we finally found our tonight offence leader in the third quarter. At the beginning of the last period we thought that we took control over the game. And it could be a fatal flaw. But we were concentrated enough not to allow Bamberg score in their two last attacks.
