Today in Belgrade in the second friendly game on their Yugoslavian tour, the Army team repeated its success, once again defeating the local team Zeleznik.

As planned earlier, the game was closed off to spectators - the few fans that were allowed to watch were either relatives of the Moscow players or workers for the Yugoslavian club. Before the beginning of the game, the coaching staffs agreed to play all of the teams’ players. True, Nikolay Padius and Andrey Sheyko didn’t get in to the game for the Army team. In the first half the teams played under normal rules, and in the second half the decided to work on defensive schemes. Sergey Panov finished of the game with a last-second three-pointer which hit the bottom of the net.
Tomorrow the team will have a daytime practice, and in the evening the entire Army delegation will go to a celebration dinner with the Ivkovic family. The players won’t be able to break their training regime, because already on the evening of January 1 they will have a football workout, and on January 2 the Army team will have a sparring session with one of its recent Euroleague Group C opponents, the Belgrade team Partizan.
