Voroncevich signed a contract with CSKA

PBC CSKA signed 5 years contract with Andrey Voroncevich. Russian U-20 National Team player played last year for Sibirtelekom. His average numbers in 32 games are: 5.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.3 block shots, 1.0 turnover.

‘Now we can be sure that our selection for the season is complete, - says PBC CSKA vice president Andrey Vatutin. - We changed our plans and added one more player because of the U-20 European championship in Turkey. Voroncevich showed good performance both in preparations and at the championship. We followed his play for rather a long time but as soon as Ettore Messina saw the player we decided to offer him a multi year deal. By the way the coaching staff suppose that Voroncevich would be able to help the team this season’.

‘I did not expect CSKA to offer me the contract, - says Voroncevich. – But it did not take me long to decide. For me it is a great opportunity to improve and to work on the highest level. And I am really excited about the opportunity to play in the Euroleague’.
