CSKA vs EURAS (Yekaterinburg): 91-47

Only at the very beginning of the game was EURAS able to compete seriously with the Army team. Already in the opening minutes CSKA jumped ahead. They had already doubled their opponents' score in the first five minutes. The team from the Urals tried to catch CSKA - 13-8. But it was in vain.

Center Victor Alexander didn't play in the game. He got a chance to rest up, and Dusan Ivkovic had to give more playing time to Aleksander Bashminov and Aleksey Savrasenko.

The course of the game itself was interesting only if you cut CSKA's score in half. And even if you did that, CSKA still basically led for the entire game. Only in the third quarter did CSKA head coach Dusan Ivkovic have to take a time-out in order to talk to the Russian group of five on the floor: Evgeniy and Zakhar Pashutin, Nikolay Padius, Sergey Panov and Aleksander Bashminov, who unexpectedly allowed six straight points by their opponents.

In the first half of the fourth quarter it looked as if EURAS intended to set and anti-record EURAS forward Igor Grachev was the first Yekaterinburg player to score 10 point for his team. He finally did it with 1:30 remaining until the final horn. And CSKA guard John Holden looked like he was heading for a triple-double. In the first half alone he collected 8 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds. But he didn't even have to play in the second half.
