CSKA won the second Euroleague game. Aris did the team’s best and tried to find the way to the host’s basket but their abilities were limited by the absence of several players and CSKA defence. The gap between the teams was at the 15 points level for almost all the game. CSKA won 83-68.
CSKA - Aris (Greece): 83-68
Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:
- The absence of several players made the game tough for Aris. For us it was an opportunity to give minutes to almost all of the players. Surely it was a good chance for Vorontsevich and Ponkrashov to feel the real Euroleague game. It is very hard for the young players to start their career in the Euroleague in the smart team like our team is. They receive a lot of instructions and they have hard times trying to follow all of the guidelines. I try to help them with this.
I am very sorry we did not have the hall filled with the fans mostly for Sergei Panov who had the celebration tonight. The player really worths it.
