CSKA won the first game of the quarterfinals series versus Spartak from St.Petersburg. Despite the absence of Savrasenko and Torres the team was ahead 46-25 after the half time break.

CSKA – Spartak St.Petersburg: 74-52

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:

- We had a good start in the play offs. We started the game with the balances performance and shared the minutes between almost all the players. I am happy for young Andrei Vorontsevich. In the absence of Savrasenko and Torres he managed to show good defence, rebounding.
I hope that tomorrow we would manage to show the same level of the game and concentration. We respect Spartak St.Petersburg, they are a good team.

As for our injuries Savrasenko probably would play tomorrow (if he feels the same like today), Torres surely will not.
