CSKA Senior Vice president Andrei Vatutin gave us comments on the Euroleague draw:
- We are excited about the opportunity to play in the Euroleague Opening game for the first time in the history of our club. This is a great honor for us. Besides we’d like to start the tournament the first and to finish the last.
I can not say that our group is stronger than the others. The level of the Euroleague in general improved greatly and there would be no easy games for the whole season.
As for the brands: Olympiacos, TAU, Zalgiris are the teams that do not need extra advertising in Russia. The level of Montepaschi management and their achievement in the last seasons say that the team is close to the superclub level. And we have Virtus Bologna in the group. The team was the symbol of European basketball some years ago and it is great to see them coming back. Now we would check the opportunity to play one of the games of the group stage at Khodynka Stadium.
