CSKA won the game versus Sydney Kings 71-62 on the first day of the tournament in Kunshan, China. The Army club get to the hall one hour later than expected and forced the game to delay a bit. But fortunately that does not effect the game itself.

CSKA vs. Sydney Kings: 71-62 (23-14, 20-18, 17-11, 11-19)

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:

- We gathered only 4 days ago. Sydney Kings are far ahead of us in preparations and that was clear during the game. But I am happy we played good defense and were unselfish in the offense.
