The CSKA bus took the team to the Vnukovo-3 airport, and at 16:00 - right on time – CSKA’s charter flight lifted off for Perm. After two home-court victories, the Army team is arriving in Perm in good spirits. In the plane the team watched films, read newspapers and showed –each in their own way - that their not worried in the least about the upcoming games.

Near the Molot sports arena, where the team went immediately after landing, CSKA was swarmed by young fans. The were taking turns getting photographed with Darius Songaila, J.R. Holden and Victor Alexander. But Nikolaos Chatzivrettas brought out the most emotions, as he was greeted with screams from the girls.

The girls waited near the exit of the arena until the end of practice. And as PBC CSKA general director Sergey Kushchenko was exiting, he stayed around and signed autographs for a long while. When the entire team was already in the bus, fans kept yelling "Vic! Vic!) and asked Europe’s best center to sign autographs for them.

After dinner, CSKA forward Sergey Monya, who didn’t play in the games in Moscow due to a disqualification, gave an interview to our site about his impressions:

“It was hard to watch the two games, not even from the bench, but from the stands. It’s a completely different feeling. The same thing when I was screaming "Go CSKA!" like an average fan and clapped for my teammates when they did something well. It’s hard to say how I could have helped the team. The guys played really well without me. But now I’m going to try to contribute as much as I can in the upcoming games. Of course, the Perm team still has chances to win, but only if their leaders play extremely well. But we all remember that CSKA lost here in the regular season, and we want payback. Each of us understands that the length of our vacation depends on our games. So we’re getting ready to return home from Perm victorious!”
