Marcus Brown signed a contract with PBC CSKA in front of invited journalists. Afterwards, Marcus answered some of their questions.
- Did you think a long time about CSKA’s offer?
- No, not long. But I had time to think about changing clubs. I’m very happy that I landed with CSKA. Regarding Turkey, it was time to leave Efes Pilsen. Russia and CSKA are a great option.
- What do you know about your new team?
- CSKA played in the Euroleague Final Four, and I didn’t. I know the coach and I know CSKA basketball. I know the names of most of the players - Panov, Monya, Khryapa and all of the legionnaires. I know Holden well. I know how professional the club’s organization is. I hope to become one of the team and contribute in Russian and in Europe. CSKA and I both have one goal: to win the Euroleague!
- After a successful season, you probably had lots of good offers. Which other ones were you considering?
- They were from Efes, Siena and Skipper. I had some options, and I chose the best.
- Yesterday you met with the club’s general director Sergey Kushchenko. What did you talk about?
- We talked about my transfer to CSKA. About the club. About my adaptation to the club, which I hope will become like a family to me. We talked about goals for the upcoming season. I shared my impressions and found out what the club wants from me.
- Did you speak with Dusan Ivkovic?
- Of course. We were both pleased to meet and talk about the normal things and the important things for a new player in the team.
- Have you had time to see Moscow?
- Just a little bit. The weather was great yesterday. There was no snow (laughing). I hope it stays like that.
