Serbia Training Camp Nears the End

Òoday CSKA’s main roster played its second-to-last game at the training camp in Serbia. The Army team played the local club Hemofarm in the city of Vrsac. Having trailed at one point by 17 points, Dusan Ivkovic’s team was able to gain momentum and earn a victory.

On Sunday the teams will play a rematch (time will be announced later).

On Monday morning CSKA will fly from Belgrade to Moscow, where the entire team - including players playing for their respective national teams - will join up on Sept. 18. The entire team will return to the Balkans on Sept. 21 to play in the Champions Cup international tournament in the city of Novi Sad from Sept. 22 to Sept. 25.

In addition to CSKA, Barcelona and Unicaja from Spain, the Greek club Panathinaikos and the Italian club Skipper will play. The home team will be the Belgrade club Red Star. The teams will be divided into two groups headed by CSKA and Barcelona. After group play, the group winners will play in the tournament final.
