There are celebrations in Kaunas. Not ours

Zalgiris made CSKA to lose the game in VTB Unified League. But the margin of victory wasn’t big enough to ruin our team’s plans to take the first place in the group.

Zalgiris Kaunas vs. CSKA: 67-63

Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA head coach:
“Zalgiris is always playing better in Kaunas because their fans are pushing them forward. It was important for us to stop Brown and Salenga, and we were doing a good job on them for three quarters. But our bad defense in the last four minutes and four three-pointers by Marcus Brown decided the outcome of the game. We lacked balance in our offense. Zoran Planinic played great and that’s a trademark of our team – any given night can be big for one of our star players.”
