Superleague. CSKA vs Khimki

The Army team started game good. Holden, Brown, Khryapa, Turkcan and Alexander were in the start five. Turkan scored first points, and then Khryapa scored two 3-points throws. After it CSKA was leading by 8-0, but following game was not easy for our team. Thank 3-point throws by Kuchinsky and Petrenko Khimki began to overtake CSKA. Till 2 minutes to the end of the first quarter Dusan Ivkovic received technical fouls and took time-out. But it helped Khimki more. With the buzzer the ball moved to the Army team basket and has set score to 27-25.

In the second quarter Ivkovic changed the defense of his team to zone and it was good tactic. This minutes all CSKA players could score the points. Sergey Elevic had to take time-out. In the end of the quarter our team lost some concentration and Khimki could catch up CSKA bud made too many mistakes. Zone defense didn’t help him, CSKA was leading by 51-41 to the big rest.

In the next quarter Ivkovic changed the squad, Papaloukas, Brown, Panov, Yudin and Savrasenko moved to the game. But next 10 minutes showed that half-reserve roster of our team could increase leading. Anton Yudin who scored 5 point in this quarter was good. Brown continued to increase his statistic. CSKA leading increased to 15 points.

In the beginning of the fourth part of the game it was almost know who will win this game. The fans who didn’t worry about the result of the game were meeting every point with many applauds. CSKA played beautiful and easy and won 106-80.
