Long-awaited meeting of two best teams representing the country in the top European club’s tournament will take place on Sunday. CSKA will face Khimki in the next round of Superleague championship.
“Our games against Khimki were always difficult and interesting, - CSKA head coach Evgeny Pashutin said. Khimki were the main CSKA opponents in Russian league for two seasons. In my opinion, the became even stronger this year, and they demonstrate a good shape lately. Khimki played on the level of Real and Panathinaikos, their leaders McCarthy, Cabesas, Javtokas look great. I think Langford will get back for the game against us. After a tough loss to PAO Khimki will be hypermotivated and one of our tasks will be to slow them down and to get them out of emotional rhythm.
