Kazan deals CSKA first loss

“Our starters lacked emotions after very good game vs Caja Laboral. We tried to lay upon the reserves but they did not help. Nikita Kurbanov was able to show themselves – he rebounded, he stopped Kuzyakin who scored 12 points in a row during one stretch. But Sokolov and Vorontsevich did not get into rhythm. We made a cascade of mistakes in the second quarter and barely played defense all the game. Nobody scored 94 points against us this season. And nobody got a chance to shoot 30 free throws on our court. No doubt, I am fully responsible for the loss. We will study very carefully why we did not execute up to our game plan. I hope the loss will shake our team before the VTB League Final Four in Kaunas.”
