CSKA could not show its basketball. Even with good level of defense it is difficult to win the game with no offense – and that was proved. Caja Laboral played brilliant fourth quarter of the Euroleague playoffs quarterfinal Game 3 and made our team to stay in Vitoria for two more days.

Caja Laboral vs. CSKA: 66-53

Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA head coach:
“The game was difficult. That’s the play-offs, Caja Laboral plays at home, and you should not expect something different. The opponents demonstrated high level of physical contact from the very beginning with lot of grabbing, fouls. I compared the Game 2 with ice hockey game, and this game reminded me of rugby. It’s ok, I am not complaining, that’s normal for the playoffs, we should be ready, but we wasn’t. We could not catch the tempo, we were out of rhythm offensively. We also allowed our opponents to dominate on rebounds, especially in the first quarter when guards won a lot of balls on our glass.”
