The Euroleague Final Four can be officially considered open. The opening press conference took place in Paris City Hall today, and later our team went on the main court of Bercy Arena for the first time.

CSKA – Barcelona game is bearing the sticker “experience vs class” for quite a long time. That’s why Barca’s coach Xavi Pascual had to convince everyone that his team has a lot of other qualities. For example, big desire to win. Coach also assured that he will do everything possible to avoid the setbacks during the game. The setbacks like those in last year semifinal which led to scoring extravaganza by Ramunas Siskauskas and defeat. Evgeny Pashutin slightly pinpricked his opponent: “Yes, we are not the favorites this year, but the semifinal consists from one game only. You can play brilliant for all season long to lose one deciding game. Anyway two great teams will play the tough game and I am sure that the fans will see an interesting game”. Xavi Pascual agreed: “You cannot know the result of the upcoming game. If we could do that we would be reach winning the lottery”.

The practice went in usual mode. Matjaz Smodis who was dealing with the cold, joined the team as well as American guest, CSKA fans favorite David Vanterpool.
