Krasnye Krylia Samara kept their hopes alive for three quarters of the second game of the quarterfinal series. But in the fourth quarter our team was pressing the opponents so aggressively that they scored only 2 points. That’s why the defeat turned to a rout.

CSKA vs. Krasnye Krylia Samara: 62-47

Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA head coach:

“We have laid emphasis on defense, and I am grateful to our guys: they let Samara to score only 47 points. Surely, it is difficult to play in this tempo; we tried to let our leaders rest after difficult games in the Euroleague Final Four, after tough first game of the series. It is great that Keyru and Ponkrashov showed their energy off the bench, and rested Langdon made some key baskets in the second half.”
