Despite not so big final difference our team left no chances for Maccabi in Kondrashin-Belov Cup semifinal in St. Petersburg. CSKA had an advantage in the paint, ran away in the first quarter and defended the lead well until very end. Army team will face Efes Pilsen tomorrow in the final.

CSKA vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv: 73-67

Dusko Vujosevic, CSKA head coach:

I am glad to be here in St. Petersburg, the city of basketball, I am glad to participate in the tournament devoted to the memory of great Alexander Belov and Vladimir Kondrashin. This is a preseason tournament so the result is secondary for us. But I am happy for the team which showed good game, especially on defense where they played with desire and enthusiasm. I think the fans were satisfied with good basketball played by two good Euroleague teams.
