CSKA vs. Olimpija (Slovenia): 65-55
During the halftime the wheelchair basketball team Falcon, 9-time Russian champions, entered the floor and demonstrated their skills in short scrimmage. The players where equipped by PBC CSKA and Nike, and they were greeted warmly by Moscow crowd.
Dusko Vujosevic, CSKA head coach:
First of all, I am satisfied with the result. We were under big pressure which was deserved, no question. And it is difficult to play under pressure. We had our ups and downs but, what is important, we should not let the opponent to cut the deficit to 15 points and to get back into game. Olimpija best qualities are three-point shooting and pick-n-rolls, and I think we controlled both. At the same time we suffered from bad periods in offense. It was important to win, that’s a big step, but we need a number of steps like this in future. We can look for our weaknesses but it’s time to enjoy something positive. For example, you can be happy for Shved who scored three key free throws in the final minutes though he wasn’t getting much time with the game on the line before.
