The days after the New Year Day are very busy for our team. CSKA will play three games during this short period and the first of these games will take place ob the floor PBL newcomer BC Nizhny Novgorod.

The squad which boarded Transaero flight 9797 looks renovated. Boban Marjanovic went to Zalgiris on loan, Alexander Kaun continues his knee rehab, Victor Khryapa undergoes the series of rehabilitation procedures, Ramunas Siskauskas is out with ARD. So the coaches added two players from the junior team – Denis Polokhin and Alexander Gudumak.

“We together with Andrey Maltsev know a number of players from Nizhny Novgorod because of their play for younger teams, - CSKA interim coach Dmitry Shakulin said. Still the players from Serbia are leading the opponent team. Our main task is to stop them. Nizhny Novgorod is a brave and ambitious newcomer. The clubs stays on the bottom of standings but many of the games were lost in the final minutes. We are preparing for the game seriously because we want to start the season from the success.”
