Our team's forward Victor Khryapa returned from Cleveland today where he was examined with his left ankle problems.
American doctors' verdict confirmed the diagnosis made in Moscow. Because of biomechanics disorder, long history of his injuries in Portland, CSKA and Team Russia he developed peroneal longus tendinosis.
He got custom orthotics and the course of antiinflammatory medication was recommended. He is also recommended to continue his rehabilitation program started in Moscow in December. Upon the correction of biomechanics and other functions CSKA medical staff will decide on the terms of his return on the court. If he is unable to get relief with this conservative program, the next option to consider is surgical intervention with longer rehabilitation period.
It should be mentioned that Alexander Kaun rehabilitation continues according to the plan. CSKA center is free of injury, he practices intensively and participates in team practices partly. We hope that the fans will be able to see Sasha on the court in February.
