Vilnius lost the chance to play in Final Four

The win over Lietuvos Rytas allowed our team to qualify for the VTB United League Final Four. At the same time Lithuanian champions lost the chance to play there. The success was reached thanks to leadership by Gordon and Smodis as well as inspired play by Zabelin.

We played just the first game without injured JR Holden. I am glad to mention two facts. First, I liked the way Jamont Gordon controlled the team game, set offense. Second, I think, almost nobody knew the name of Artem Zabelin here until today. Artem fought, he deserved the playing time by his actions both on defense and offense. Ramunas Siskauskas did not practice for week and a half, but his experience helped in difficult moments. I am sure that upon returning his shape he will be even more noticeable.
