Benas Matkevicius has become CSKA scout

Lithuanian Benas Matkevicius is named club’s scout today. His main responsibility is to search for potential CSKA newcomers and to study the opponents’ tactics.

“I know Benas for a long time”, - CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas said. “He was the promising player, he went to study in the US and after graduating went on to work as a scout in Germany. We have a lot of work these days, so I count on pro scout to take most of the load off us in search for potential newcomers. It is not a secret that we are already involved in the process of creating the new team for the next season. Besides Matkevicius will be involved in collecting the information on our opponents from the next season, additional to the one prodused by the scouting coach. We will use NBA example where most of the clubs send the scouts for the opponent’s previous games to find the data not visible on TV recording.”
