In the game against the team which was beaten here by huge margin just three months ago CSKA had to play catch-on game all the time. Army men barely deserved to play in overtime but still lost to Nizhny Novgorod for the first time ever.

Nizhniy Novgorod vs. CSKA: 94-89 OT (-5)

Jonas Kazlauskas, CSKA head coach:
Our opponents played very good game, at the same time we played very bad. To say the truth I did not see the team on the court, I saw the players who care about their own stats. We cannot lose to Nizhny Novgorod allowing them to score 94 points. If that happens, something’s wrong. I think some our players are overestimating themselves; therefore they are not able to concentrate appropriately. Having such a height advantage we lost on rebounds, we shot with worse percentage from the paint. I asked the team to forget about two big wins I previous games with Nizhny. Looks like, they did not forget.
