This game will be the most important one out of three left in the BEKO PBL regular championship. CSKA is ahead of Khimki by one win, and every loss can cost home court advantage and the meeting with the strong opponent in the first round of playoffs.
Army men will miss only Nikita Kurbanov. The forward is out with tendinitis in quadriceps muscle of the left thigh. He continues his rehabilitation accordingly to the plan.
“Besides the fact that CSKA – Khimki game is a matter of principle, the teams’ mood is affected by the result of our previous meeting”, - CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas said. “The loss in the VTB United League final makes us think about revenge as Khimki wants to prove the result to be fair. The loss in Kazan was made out of small things for us: we missed some rebounds, did not dive for some lose balls, did not run back to the defense sometimes… We will try to pay more attention to these details, to play more focused and qualitative.”
