Without five key players our team fought hard against the Euroleague champions but couldn’t make one last step in the very end.

Olympiacos vs. CSKA: 83-76 (-7)

Olympiacos missed Law (groin) but CSKA which was already without three Serbian National Team lost also Kaun (shoulder) and Voronov (hamstring) to injuries.

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:
I think it was a good game for both teams. Taking into account that we were left without several key players I can say that I am satisfied with the effort and the improvements we were able to make in the course of the game. Surely we have to work to understand each other better. In fact we have a new team and it is especially obvious in contrast with Olympiacos which players play together for years. We missed three big players, Sokolov and Vorontsevich got into foul trouble early so I let Gudumak played more and I am satisfied with his actions.
