The first game of the Russian championship came hard for CSKA emotionally. The team could not find enough motivation to struggle once more after a long Euroleague fight this season. But Lokomotiv who had only 8 players on the roster older than 20 years could not use the advantage. CSKA got the lead in the last quarter together with the first win in the series.

CSKA - Lokomotiv Rostov: 82-71

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:

- Surely this was not the game of the best level. It is hard to find emotions after what happened in Prague and after. We were empty inside, we were empty on the court. But we should be patient. I hope that it would not take us long to recover. Hopefully we would be better in a game tomorrow. And we should start to prepare for the next games and series.
