CSKA became the first winner of VTB United League Promo Cup defeating BC Khimki - it's main competitor in Russian Superleague.

- It was a good game. Obviously it was influenced by the absence of the key players for both teams – Garbajosa and Lampe from Khimki and Smodis together with Siskauskas who got injured during the game from our side. Khryapa and Kaun added some energy to our game and Khryapa in my opinion was the best player on the floor. I am happy that we were able to progress game by game during this tournament where we played three games in three days.
