Our team started regular practices to prepare for the upcoming season in USH CSKA today. Of course, the team misses players and coaches who participate in Eurobasket.
“We finished medical examinations yesterday and the plan of our work depends on its results, - coach Ivan Jeremic said. The shape of players is different so probably we will split them into two groups. We stay in contact with head coach Evgeny Pashutin, we talk several times every day to correct our plans. We will stay away from scrimmages for 2-3 days, setting our priorities on physical conditions.”
Victor Khryapa and Alexander Kaun are working individually. Both players worked in the weightlifting room and did some shooting after that. Kaun worked on a free throw shooting and Khryapa who is still unable to load his injured knee did some exercises on shooting, passing and dribble together with technical advisor Milan Minic. The other players carefully listened to athletic coach Georgy Artemiev.
“The main goal for us is to get their reflexes, muscle tonus back and to use to physical work, - Artemiev said. Usually it takes 3-5 days for that.”
“There is not so much time left till the start of the season, - Jeremic added. Also we will play friendly games soon. So we should start working on tactics as soon as it possible. We cannot play 5-on-5 right now so we will work on individual tactics, technical basics and defensive principles mostly.”
