Fantastic, nervous final seconds were needed to overcome Maroussi in the starting game of the Euroleague regular season. To make Khryapa’s winning three-pointer count the referees even used video replay.

Maroussi vs. CSKA: 65-66

Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA Head Coach:

“We got what we expected: very tough game against a good team with good roster and good coach. I am glad that our leaders are getting back in shape – Holden, Langdon and Siskauskas played on a high level today. We played good defense, Maroussi scored just 65 points, but we weren’t as good on offense, especially in the second quarter. I would like to single out Khryapa who recently returned after injury suffered on this court during National Team game. This winning shot was very important mentally both for him and for the team.”
