CSKA vs. Triumph Lyubertsy: 67-62
Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA Head Coach:
“Our starters defended very aggressively today, so we immediately gained some advantage. Unfortunately, as it often happens in the course of this season, we lost our rhythm after the substitutions, especially in the defense, letting the opponents to score 20 points in the second quarter. Triumph used ‘bigs’ who can score from the distance in the end - Shabalkin, Nesterov and Miller - and we had to use two power forwards. We tried to solve our problems in defending the pick-and-roll by switching the defenders, except Holden who always tried to follow his opponent.”
