CSKA vs. UNICS Kazan: 81-76
Jonas Kazlauskas, CSKA head coach:
It was a difficult game, mentally first of all. For most part of it we were trailing, and the opponent played calmly. We are out of rhythm because of 2-week break, and we spend one week to improve our physical conditions. At the same time the opponents played two good games in the Eurocup and I’d like to congratulate them with qualifying for the Final Four. We started well, it was obvious that we are well-prepared at this moments, but allowed ourselves to go down for 3, 4, 5 minutes which is unacceptable for the big team. It’s great that our reserves catched the rhythm for us. It was a risk to send Vorontsevich and Sokolov on the floor in the fourth as they looked worse than other in previous games and practices. But they were valuable tonight – that is what I expect from them.
