CSKA Forward Darius Songaila returned yesterday evening to Moscow from the USA, and today took part in his first practice at USK CSKA. Remember that in the States, Songaila underwent observation and rehabilitation after an ankle injury in a November 14 Euroleague game with the Italian club Virtus. After practice Darius gave our site an interview.

The press conferences for both coaches turned out to be rather short. Ulker head coach Tolga Ongoren was suffering from the loss, and Dusan Ivkovic and Victor Alexander wanted to get home to celebrate the victory.

The post-game press conference with both coaches managed to go for a record length. Both coaches spoke with journalists for more than a half an hour apiece.

At the very beginning of the press conference, Slask head coach Jacek Winnicki congratulated CSKA on their victory: "I don’t believe that the final score reflects how close the game actually was," he said.

The main opponent for CSKA newcomer Victor Alexander in the upcoming Euroleague game will be Belorussian center Aleksandr Koul.

It has almost been one week since CSKA coach Valeriy Tikhonenko left for the USA to work as an assistant at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He told the CSKA website about his first impressions.
