CSKA bat Spartak-Primorje

CSKA prevailed over Spartak-Primorje. Despite our opponents had a good shooting percentage – 45, they managed to chalk up only in the very beginning of the game. CSKA was leading 16 points by the big break. And it’s advantage only increased by the end of the game – 106-80.

CSKA in Top 16: The Defence day

CSKA started Euroleague Top 16 with the win over Lietuvos Rytas. From the very start the Army club played maximum attention to the defense and was able to limit the speed of the rival. The key to the game in the offence came in the 3rd quarter when CSKA made a 14-0 run.

Today at 15:00 CET the bus with CSKA aboard left for the airport to take a flight to Vilnius. There are 12 players on the roster. CSKA - CSK VVS: 79-64

Despite a difficult first half CSKA managed to win the last game before the start of Euroleague Top-16. CSK VVS did its best to stop Army men - but when Russian champions began to play as they had to everything was over. CSKA won - 79-64 - and made its chances to finish the regular season on the first place even higher.

Kuschenko received the Person Of The Year award

CSKA president received the Person Of The Year award for his contribution in the development of the industry of sports in Russia. The official wording was: ‘for contemporary management decisions and attracting the investments into the industry of sports’.

CSKA is in the same group with Tau, Lietuvos Rytas and Bamberg

TOP16 draw was held in Barcelona tonight. CSKA is in the Group F together with Tau, Lietuvos Rytas and Bamberg. The team would play the first game in Vilnus. The date and time would be fixed tomorrow.

CSKA beat UNICS too

CSKA managed to beat UNICS in the game that as a matter of fact decided the destiny of the first place of Superleague regular season. Despite players from Kazan hadn’t been leading during the match even for a second, the intrigue remained till the final whistle.

CSKA signs Van Den Spiegel!

Belgian center Tomas Van Den Spiegel signed a contract with CSKA until the end of the season. The player arrived in Moscow yesterday, passed medical examination and took part in both practices of the team.

Sergey Kushchenko became the president of CSKA

Today there was a meeting of the Board of PBC CSKA. The first subject to discuss was the current situation in the club. It was mentioned that despite the injuries of the leaders in the most of the games the team showed a good level of play and played with heart and character. The current positions in both Euroleague and Superleague can be the platform for the good

CSKA finished the regular season with the win

The last game of the Euroleague regular season couldn’t have much impact on the group C standings. CSKA had already secured the third place in the final standings, while Partizan had lost all the chances before and become an outsider. However this game wasn’t that easy for Army club as it could overcome all the difficulties that were created by Serbians only in the fourth quarter.

CSKA beat Dynamo once again

The second super derby of 2005/06 season ended with CSKA’s win. Army club’s run in the second quarter gave our team «+20» advantage. However CSKA couldn’t escape a hard fight in the end. Dynamo managed to cut the difference to 5 points, but it didn’t help them much.

Ulker did not find the key to CSKA defence
